Department of E-Commerce Law

The University of Science and Culture was the first university in Iran to offer a master’s degree in e-commerce law.

The students majoring in e-commerce law are expected to take courses equal to 28 credits and a four-credit thesis in four semesters to find the ability to master the principles of e-commerce law and act as senior advisors in all related fields.

This field of study covers a wide range of issues including electronic transactions, documents, agreements, signatures, banking and arbitration. It also focuses on security issues due to their importance.

Duration and Details

It takes two years, including three educational semesters and one research semester to complete a master’s degree in e-commerce law. The education system is credit-based in which the students should take 22 credits in major courses and six credits in elective courses in three semesters and write a four-credit thesis in the fourth semester.

The courses are mainly theoretical and research-based, and practical applications should also be taken into account.

Each semester lasts for 31 weeks, and each theoretical course lasts for 31 hours.

The e-commerce society is attaching more significance to the legal issues; therefore, its graduates are easily absorbed into the labor market.
